Eric's birthday in Iraq

Hard to believe my oldest son Eric has turned 21 today . Forget the fact he's in Iraq . At least Eric and I get to talk via phone occasionally and e-mail each other frequently . He seems in good spirits and I know he is proud to serve his country despite our Presidents asshole way with the war . Every time I see these kids coming home in body bags tears my heart out , for what? Having spent 10 years myself serving our country and 20 + years serving the public as a firefighter I believe I can voice my disappointment with our war in Iraq and our President . I don't have the answers to this war but wish our government could figure it out . All responses have a reaction, didn't they figure this when we went there or is our government that stupid?
